Second Progress Meeting Reviews Clinical Audits in Hospitals
Representatives of the Ministry of Health, the National Institute of Public Health, and both primary and secondary healthcare met last week for the second progress meeting on implementing clinical audits in hospital settings. The meeting reviewed the progress of five ongoing clinical audits and provided a forum for discussion on implementation challenges and future directions.
Participants presented progress on clinical audits covering COPD management at the Pulmonology Clinic, reporting of health education activities, time to ECG performance for patients presenting with chest pain at the UCCK Emergency Clinic, management of gastrointestinal bleeding at the UCCK Gastroenterology Clinic, and the recording of vital parameters in accident patients at Prizren General Hospital.
The programme also included discussions on challenges, lessons learned, shared experiences, future perspectives, and the next steps in implementing clinical audits at the national level.
